Cute Little Red-Haired Boy

I love taking photos of my cute little red-haired great nephew, Nathan... taking pictures means having photos to use on scrapbook pages!! He is such a photogenic little guy!
I took a DisneyWorld vacation with Nathan and his family this summer. He is a huge Seven Dwarfs fan - Every time we would leave the condo he would have us march down the hallway and sing the Hi-Ho Hi-Ho song! It was too funny. I bought a set of Dwarfs for Nathan to play with --- they were a huge hit!!!

Hooked on Digi-Scrapping!

I stumbled upon digital scrapbooking two years ago and have been hooked ever since.
I love the fact that I don't have to dig all of my supplies out - and then put them back only to get them back out again next time!
I love the fact that the kits are so versatile ... I can use and re-use them ... I can mix and match them ... I can change the colors of the papers and the elements ... I can erase parts of the elements to create something different ... I also love the fact that I can completely ditch a project and start over with the click of a button!

One of the first sites I found was http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/. I lurked around the forums and galleries for awhile before joining in.

I participated in the New Kids On The Block contest - a contest for "newbie" digi-scrappers. It is a three round contest - the top 10 participants are recognized. I made the top 10 ... and through that contest I met a lot of wonderful DSP members.

Shortly after NKOTB contest I took the dive and tried out for the Digital Elite Team. A team of scrappers picked by the designers to create pages to represent their kits ... All participants are given the same kit to work with and the same rules to follow. It is an elimination contest ... I couldn't believe it when I saw I had made the team! I served on the DET5 for 6 months and decided I'd try out again for DET6 - I loved getting free kits and pushing myself to try new and different scrapping techniques. To my surprise, I made DET6 as well! When the DET7 contest rolled around I was certain I would not try again, I didn't want to press my luck. However, at the last moment I decided to try out one more time ... I am so thankful I did ... I made the DET7 team as well!!! So --- for the past 18 months I have enjoyed working with the wonderful designers @ DSP .. I have made so many friends ... I have gotten tons of free kits ... and I have loved every minute of it!!!!
My DET7 term will be complete October 1 ... I will miss being part of the team ... but I will now have time take part in the challenges and be part of the DET Alumni forum.
